These small and hefty bowls are made with red clay from the rivers of northern Vietnam and hand painted by disadvantaged young people near Hanoi. Some of the artisans are deaf and nonverbal, while others are from poor families who could not afford education. All of them proved their talents during a one-year training program learning this income-generating craft.
Approx 4" diameter and 1" high, no two are alike.
